On the 18th and 19th of October 2022, Ark of Hope set up a Black History Month celebration at our community garden to honour and teach black history. Last year, our Hattersley community came together to celebrate Black History Month in a vibrant and heartwarming event held at our community garden. The event was a resounding success, with an incredible turnout from individuals of all backgrounds and ages. It was a testament to the power of unity, education, and celebration in our community.
Celebrating Diversity and Unity
Our 2022 Black History Month celebration at Hattersley’s community garden brought the community together in a colorful display of unity and cultural appreciation
Our Black History Month celebration was a joyous occasion that featured a variety of activities and presentations that highlighted the rich and diverse contributions of Black individuals throughout history. From engaging storytelling sessions to powerful discussions, art exhibitions, and cultural performances, the event truly captured the essence of this important month. It provided an opportunity for our community members to learn, appreciate, and connect with each other through shared experiences and knowledge.
The success of last year’s celebration has only fuelled our commitment to continuing this tradition into this year (2023) as-well. We look forward to making each Black History Month a memorable and educational experience for our community. Together, we can celebrate the past, appreciate the present, and work towards a more inclusive and harmonious future. Stay tuned for our upcoming events and celebrations, and join us in commemorating Black History Month in Hattersley once again.
